Founded in 2005 by Sam Spillane, SJ Events was formed to provide a straightforward but fun approach to event management. The business is based around understanding our clients' needs and then creating events and travel experiences that allow them to engage with their stakeholder audiences.

Meet our team
We have extensive experience working within the event and corporate travel industry
Sam has 25 years' event management and incentive travel experience delivered across the world. She founded SJ Events in 2005 having previously planned, coordinated and operated events worldwide for several corporate clients. A language specialist, Sam is fluent in French and also speaks German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
Angelina has worked within the travel industry for her entire career, providing her with a background in corporate travel arrangements alongside the management and delivery of conferences, exhibitions and gala dinners.
Carrie has worked within the event management industry for over 20 years. She has held a number of project management and event operations roles with Midlands-based events agencies. Carrie also speaks French and German.
George (Sam’s sister) manages a range of specialist services for the business alongside running the finances. These include the delivery of bespoke incentive travel programmes and the design, development and delivery of bespoke delegate management systems for large conferences.
Karen provides finance administration and logistical support for the SJ portfolio of events as well as the onsite delivery of incentive travel and conference activities.
Laela has a long history of event management delivery and has in recent years moved into an events operational role where she supports the SJ team in the logistics planning of their event programmes
